Timeless Ti .68 OC with treet platinum blade
compared to my wolfman .95 the Timeless has less tug or the feel of tug or cutting when shaving is much less with this blade hmmmmmm
end comfort about the same and the OC while a few more touch ups are needed I end up in the same spot and comfort

Today I tried a new razor to me - Pearl Flexi. Since I'm a head and face shaver (with goatee) I've used Mach3's for many many years, but recently switched to a Leaf and Leaf Thorn. They work well, but I have been bitten by the DE bug, so started expanding my horizons. The Pearl Flexi is my first DE. I initially liked the weight, build quality, and adjustability. I started out on a setting of 1, the most mild, and this caused me to have to go over certain areas numerous times. So probably tomorrow I might try it again on 2 to see how it differs. I also have another DE on the way to arrive today so I'll have yet another to try too ? Today was a Fresh-Friday, as evidenced by my scent profile and "clean" products from a scent perspective.

Shower soap: Stirling Barbershop (very fresh!)
Preshave, post shower: Proraso Sensitive (Oatmeal/Green tea)
Razor: Pearl Flexi, set on "1"
Blade: Astra Green
Shaving Soap: Proraso White
Soap bowl: Timeless plastic (awesome!)
Post shave: cold water rinse, alum block, Proraso Sensitive Balm (Oatmeal/Green tea)
Aftershave: Brut (old school fresh!)

My impression of the first shave with the Pearl was pretty good. Could have been better, but then again this is my very first head shave with a DE. So I had a little learning to do with angle, pressure, etc. The Pearl is a bit heavier than I'd like - it feels good in hand when not shaving, but when shaving it seems a bit heavy and I get a bit sloppy. I didn't get any nicks, and only slight irritation noticable from the alum block. I have a few other blades to try, but I've heard others having good luck with the Astras so we'll see.

Very nice post, and I see it is your first DFS post too, so welcome to the forum!  FWIW your game plan sounds pretty good to me.  Keep in mind that the Pearl Flexi is heavier than most razors (including adjustables), so your reaction to the weight is not surprising.

Good luck with your journey, and enjoy your time here at DFS.
