The $1.25 Dollar Tree razor. Not too bad at all. BBS finish with only 2 weepers, gone with a cold water splash. Not the smoothest or most comfy but, it does the job.

That razor and blade combo was like my third thread in here! Personally, I found the shave rough and quite uncomfortable. It wasn't enjoyable for me at all. The end result was hard to argue with, but the trip there was not pleasant for me. I mean, hell, it was only $1.25!!!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great shave this morning. Returned to Saponificio Varesino and their excellent "Cosmo" shave soap & lotion. Fantastic scent and excellent lather built with the Paladin "Mandarin" 2-band select badger brush for two passes (plus touch-up) with the '58 Gillette Super Speed and I finished with the matching ASL & Alexandria Fragrances "Mediterranean Coast" EdP.

Hope you have a great day. Smile

Not a smooth razor or comfortable by contemporary standards compared to artisan level manufacturing and razor manufacturers that have been in the business for decades and have good to excellent q/c procedures but, in a pinch with a better quality blade, it should give a respectable shave. Better than with the standard blades imo. It’s not in the same league with something say like a SS Gamechanger or Lupo series razors but, for the money and without your preferred razor, it will get the job done at some expense of comfort. It certainly isn’t an everyday shaver nor would I recommend it as such. Mediocre at best and maybe somewhat decent with a better blade. In the end if one wants a shave and there’s nothing else available, it’ll bail one out minus a few drops of sangre and some choice words.  Winking
