Gosh! I'm not going to say this was my best shave ever because it wasn't, but it was up there ...

Great lather from this triple concentrated soap. Proper vintage lavender scent, quite the soap equivalent of Pinaud Lilac Vegetal both in effect and power!

GREAT shave from the Louis. Fresh GEM blades can be fierce and often, I'll give the first couple of runs to a lighter razor like the 1912, switching to the 1914 and 1924 once run in ... I risked a fresh blade in an unknown razor and was so well rewarded for the bravery. Smooth is not the word. SMOOOth, with a captial SMOO, cane, purple suit and velvet top hat! Efficient, to top that. Very efficient, as a first run with a GEM blade should be - the shave was done in one, I made two passes because I enjoyed it so much.
