prep - shower with Caprina Fresh Goat’s Milk with Shea Butter bar soap
razor - Henson AL13 Mild
blade - Wilkinson Sword (11)
brush - Wilkinson Sword boar
soap - Col. Conk Lime
post - warm water rinse, DSA “Pure & Natural” alum, cold water rinse
aftershave - RazoRock Sicily
music - Moon Phase Radio

The WS blade brand is not doing well in my program of giving it yet another a chance to redeem itself.
The Henson seems to be the only razor that using it in doesn't give me multiple weepers. (Not even in a Slim dialled down to #3.)

It is definitely getting Voted Off The Island.

SEptember

Prep: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Gel Cleanser w/ Hyaluronic Acid used w/ a Clarisonic Mia Men

Razor: Occam's O.R.E.N. 24k gold dipped (Level 2)
Blade: Feather Professional Artist Club ProGuard Blade

Soap: 345 Soap Co. Trench Lines
Brush: Van Der Hagen Pure Badger - Scritch Monster
Bowl: Bluff Cove Pottery

Post 1: P.A.A. Alum No-Slip Grip System w/ Dry Dock System
Post 2: Dickinson's Enhanced Witch Hazel Deep Cleansing Astringent w/ Menthol & Eucalyptus
Aftershave: Guerlain Vetiver
Post 3: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream Extra-Dry w/ Hyaluronic Acid
Finish: Stirling Soap Co. Mountain Man EdT

This was my first shave ever with the Occam's O.R.E.N. razor or with any Artist Club blade razor for that matter.

I did a four-pass shave with 345 Soap Company's Trench Lines soap and have no complaints. This tallow based soap with donkey, camel and goat milks protected me quite well. The slickness and cushion was good and the scent is one that has really grown on me. The scent is an homage to Lacoste White for those that are wondering. I'm liking it enough that thinking of picking up the EdP now.

As far as the O.R.E.N. goes, it's an interesting razor to say the least. I didn't feel much cutting action from this razor. It almost felt like I was doing something wrong. I don't know if this was because I was using the razor on level 2 or if it was because of the blade guards. Ether way I carried on. I found shaving with a blade the width of an Artist Club blade was also quite interesting. You end up with a head that has a lot of cutting surface. I can see how this lends itself to an increase in blade longevity and some increased freedom to choose what part of your razor's head to use.

I have to say though that this razor really shined on my against the grain pass. That lack of cutting feeling I mentioned earlier allowed me to easily go against the grain and get that bbs shave we all love so much. I'm going to go ahead and say this razor has earned the crown for my favorite against the grain razor and in turn, quite possibly, the razor that can most easily earn me a bbs shave. More experience with levels and blades is needed and most certainly to come but I'm stoked for now.

Today's shave was another fun eye-opening SEptember shave. I hope you all enjoy your shave as much as I did.

Shave on gentlemen.

Confused2  So, does this mean that you've been using exactly the same products and gear, every day, since July?
