Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great shave this morning. Returned to TOBS and their great "Oud" shave cream. Wonderful scent and excellent lather built with the Wild West Brushworks "Midnight Mint" badger brush for two passes (+ touch-up) with the '49 Gillette Aristocrat and I finished with Czech & Speake "No.88" AS and EdC.

Hope you have a great day. Smile

MONDAY MORNING SHAVE-NEW SUNEKO BLADE

Thanks to a very generous member for his kind PIF, I was given a new blade available on Aliexpress. The name is a bit pompous but it turned out to be a very good blade. Suneko Amorphous Diamond Blade. I have no idea what the coating is, but the feel was great. It was a sharp and smooth blade. Better than Feather, Wizamet and some top tier blades? Not really. But it is certainly, IMHO, in the next tier. And for the price, it is worth a try. A comparable blade would be the Silver Star. As I mentioned in another thread, if you can find the SS cheaper than the Suneko, go for the SS, but if a couple of bucks doesn't turn you off, then the Suneko is definitely worth the buy.
I used the Suneko with the Progress today and want to use it in a few other razors to get a good feel of how it works in different tools.

Shave of the Week Starting 12/18/2023

King C Gillette razor
King C Gillette blade
Gillette Synthetic brush
Gillette Pure SC
Gillette Cool A/S

Got an early Christmas present and tried it out today. The razor/blade combo is smooth and mild to me, maybe a touch to mild but I'll work with it this week. The Pure SC works just fine, lathers easily and did a good job. The A/S is nice and I like the scent. The brush is a piece of trash! The worst excuse for a brush I've ever encountered. Won't be using it ever again. Overall, the shave was fine and I think it will get better as I get used to the razor/blade. Now go enjoy your day folks.

SOTD Dec 18th

Razor - Razorock Game Changer .84
Blade - Dorco Prime
Brush - Semogue 2000
Soap - Hwayeon Co. Terry's Soap HP&S
Post - Hwayeon Co. Terry's Soap HP&S

With the efficient and smooth razor and blade, I had a very comfortable shave.

The soap and splash I used this time give off really nice scent.

The scent from this set is inspired by Sauvage of Dior.

Citrusy and a bit of spicy scents tells the start and is followed by floral and a little bit of woody scents. Lastly it finishes with sweet musky smell from ambroxan.

Really nice smell and incredible lather with its high level of slickness and thickness added pleasure to the shave.
