Razor: Gillette Black Beauty R-2 1971
Blade: Personna 74* Tungsten Plus (5)
Brush: Nylon 3-D printer brush and bowl (by Tom White)
Soap: Route 66 Bay Lime Twist
Aftershave: Clubman Pinaud Lime
Excellent 3 pass shave today. The Bay Lime Twist is a synergy of pure East Indian Bay brightened with a generous twist of lime, mingled with ginger and supporting notes of lemon, lily, and grapefruit. It has a long lasting, slick lather, protective cushion and glide, with a soothing post shave conditioning.

Andrew (at TSD) had suggested that the Tuxedo knot might look good in the EverReady handle. I think he was right. A great 3 passes with a clean up for a very near BBS.
You're killing me with this Tuxedo. Looks outstanding!
I'm very happy with the performance of the Tuxedo 120inna55.

Is that salad greens nestling your razor!?
Oh, I get it, vegetable themed soap....
Yesterday's and today's shave, after some time offline.
Yesterday's:
- Gillette Contour #9
- Eufros Premium Ylang Ylang
- Omega 31052 boar brush
- Speick+Bulldog
I had heard that these Contour cartridges, if made in Germany, were of an exceptional quality and lasted for a lot of shaves. My cartridges happen to be made in Germany and I can just confirm that after 9 shaves, the cartridge still amazes me with good shaves. Of course I can tell the wear, but there are no unpleasant pulls or irritation. It will still last for another couple of good shaves, I'm sure.
This razor was the razor of my teenage hood and there was some sentimentalism involved in the fact that I searched for and bought one, but fact is that it has been providing me with exceptional shaves. Compared with modern multi blades, it has a "traditional" feeling to it, in the sense that you have to use the same technique, and be careful with the pressure you apply, otherwise you'll get bitten, because you do feel the blade with this razor. It's kind of the mix of both worlds (DE and multiblade) to me, and an exceptionally fun razor to shave with. All in all, a beautiful, incident free, BBS three pass shave.
Soap is to be finished off soon, which will give me the perfect excuse to order some of Manuel's new Premium Tallow creations. As for the brush, I love it because it's one of my cheapest, yet one I thoroughly enjoy whenever I use it. Soft tips and good backbone without breaking the bank. You can't ask for more.

Today's:
- Parker 26C+Gillette Silver Blue
- Mystic Irish Traveller
- Whipped Dog Butterscotch&VigShaving Silvertip
- Speick+Eufros Neutro
After having the Contour "mower" taking care of business yesterday, there wasn't much to be shaved this morning but I still needed a shave, so I decided to go for an efficient razor and chose my open comb Parker, that combines quite beautifully with the Silver Blues, one of my favorite blades. Under the exceptional glide and protection of this Mystic soap, three passes as per the manual for a BBS result.
