So, this was a nice shave. I had a friend that was nice enough to give me this soap and splash set after I mentioned that I liked classic, old-time scents. I mean, liking Old Spice, Pinaud Clubman and Tabac most definitely makes me a member of the Old Timers fan club.
Fougere Classique has a beautifully blended floral forward that's mixed with a little musk and vanilla. It sits on top of a silky smooth powder base that I find opulent with a gorgeously sophisticated yet undeniably classic feel.
If you like fougeres and know how artfully Will crafts his accords, then you already know this is a must-buy. If you're just a fan of fougeres in general, let me tell you. This is a must-buy!
On a sad note, the time has come for me to say goodbye to the Le Maurice razor. It's being called home back to France so with this shave I must bid it adieu.
I opted for the middle-of-the-road 1.0 gap stainless steel head paired with a second-use Gillette 7 o'clock blade. This combo was very efficient and provided me with a bbs face after a three-pass shave.
Post-shave I used my regulars of alum and witch hazel followed by some matching aftershave.
All in all, this was a great shave. I must say that I'm very thankful for the opportunity to have used both this software and this hardware.
Take care gentlemen and enjoy your shaves!
