After taking the photo I realized that the brush, along with the razor head & handle, were produced in England. The blade is from Germany and all the software was manufactured in Italy. A very European shave!

I also just have to praise the Infinity Silvertex. Originally bought it for travel use, but this unassuming little brush impresses me every time I use it.

I agree.  It was my brush du jour this morning.

I’m glad to hear that, Freddy. I hadn’t used my Silvertex in a few months, but now that I tried it again … well, it’s just a swell little surprise of a brush. Sometimes good things do come in small packages.

Quite frankly, gents, the more I use this humble Lea stick, the more I like it. And it amazes me that a product that will cost you 1'5€ for 50 grams of shaving soap performs this well. The fact that it contains tallow and lanolin makes me wonder if this kind of shaving soaps are "my" kind of soaps, over those that are made out of vegetal sources. It softens my beard really well, and the blade glides effortlessly. It lacks the post-shave performance of a high end product, but even in that sense, it does perform well. On top of that, it's really easy to lather it. It's just that scent of cheap lemon dishwasher that bothers me. I even wrote to the Lea people encouraging them to quit using that scent and let the Lea soap smell just like soap, with no added scents. I think a vast majority of us who use this stick don't like the scent, but love the product. Hope they listen. A few years ago they did and they re-formulated this stick, bringing us the excellent product we enjoy today, that can look straight into the eye of products that cost three times more.

I've had a two pass+touch ups shave. An excellent one. No incident whatsoever and BBS. Ended with a splash of my home brewed lotion, that works better on my skin that anything I had tried before. And life is good.
