This came to me NOS and cellophane-wrapped.
The teeth are perfect, the 2-piece construction and TTO operation, immaculate.
Original silver plating has survived as well as one would expect from a 90 year old razor.
Case and blade banks in perfect condition. "Made In England" stamped inside case and
under baseplate.
I say "near-mint" because the razor has some minor marks that have likely come
from being sealed up in cellophane wrap since 1933. I've magnified them
using a macro lens but in normal distance viewing, they are fairly subdued.
It looks to be in better shape than the specimen Ive seen on Mr Razor.

I've read some gushing reports on these razors, where it has been described as
"the best performing razor of the Gillette NEW family (alongside Deluxe) and arguably
the best performing Gillette ever". I've used it 2-3 times and rate it as a really efficient,
super smooth razor with great face-feel, that is ideal for daily use.
This piece differs a bit from other #77 set razors: it has nothing printed
on the handle (a nice clean look, which I favour) and it has patent nos.
"352975-6 363892" stamped under the baseplate. All in all, I would describe this set
as "collector-level".
Withdrawn for now
