Evening Gents. I was pondering my ever-changing scent preference and wondered if others have experienced the same thing. When I first got back into wet shaving I liked my soaps scent to be strong. The stronger the better! But with time I've found myself gravitating to more mild scents and even unscented. I enjoy the subtle nuance that are DR Harris and am shocked to find the scent lingers long after the shave. For that matter Geo Trumper scents tickle my fancy and Violet's is a sissy name but an awesome scent. I enjoy light citrus scents. I really like the scent of Mitchells Woolfat. That said I really dig a few powerhouses too. Stirlings Texas on Fire and Salters French Vetiver are favorites too. All said and done though, I could use Harris Windsor everyday for ever. What is your preference?

I’d say lightly that opens up during the lather.

I always go with strong scented soaps. Nothing irritates me more than buying a soap that I can barely smell. If I wanted to get barely a whiff I would have just purchased an unscented soap and called it a day. It’s especially a shame when the scent profile of the soap is really complex and interesting.
