Can you believe the ninth month is almost here?! Actually September was the 7th month in ancient Rome. Per timeanddate.com, "The meaning of September comes from ancient Rome: Septem is Latin and means seven. The old Roman calendar started in March, making September the seventh month. When the Roman senate changed the calendar in 153 BCE, the new year started in January, and September became the ninth month."

But enough history, let's make some future fun! I would like to invite you to join me in shaving with single edge razors next month, SEptember! No requirements, no signups, just post something when you can or care to, as we all enjoy a good post. If you don't have a single edge razor, try using only one side of your DE razor; we won't judge you, much  Tongue

So, anyone care to join the fun?

Very nice idea Eric.  I'm in, but there is one inbound DE razor I want to spend some quality time with, so I may not be shaving exclusively with SEs.  That said, I'm hoping this focus encourages people to discuss what they like or wish was better about the SE they are using on a given day, to compare SEs, to maybe show some whole shaves, and perhaps discuss "fixed four" effects, if there are any who lock down all or part of their kit for the month.

I would very much like to hear that sort of discussion, if that is how things play out, and I'd be glad to be a part of it.

Hey Mike, thanks for the compliment and for bringing up specifically a point I wanted to make. I don't see this as exclusively SE for the whole month, but just sort of a focus on single edge razors. I meant to write it out more clearly but got carried away or distracted by

Very tempting Eric. I may brave the field and pick up another SE and give it another go. Historically, I've had zero luck with them, though.

Im not sure, but I've tried quite a few different GEMs. I just can't get along with those (maybe it's the blade?).

I have also tried a few injectors. Some were mild enough, but I think they didn't shave as close as I'd like. Still, better than the opposite (too agressive).
