Silicone recommendations ( for setting knots)

I've been using this 24mm Motherlode from  Elite for a few shaves now. These are kind of an ugly knot but they are a  super soft synthetic.
   
   I gave it a good shake over the bathtub just to see if it held up, it did.
 I know it not recommend to shake a brush but I'm in test mode.
    A few mm  of loft seems to have helped with soap retention in this knot, what I was testing out.

I disagree with you, don't think the knot is to big for the handle although I prefer longer handles for bowl lathering. 
   I don't usually make it through your videos, not exactly sure why.
    I do noticed perspective on pictures taking vary with the angle. Probably why others take various angles and such when doing a handle presentation.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but all the brush makers I've spoken to recommend 1-2mm of difference between the plug diameter and the hole diameter. You have less than 1/2mm. I'm sure you can make it work, but it might be hard for us to give any recommendations on setting it because it's a bit tighter than most of us would usually go.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but all the brush makers I've spoken to recommend 1-2mm of difference between the plug diameter and the hole diameter.  You have less than 1/2mm.  I'm sure you can make it work, but it might be hard for us to give any recommendations on setting it because it's a bit tighter than most of us would usually go.

Its in and the loft I wanted it at so what's not working about it? Its washered up to the desired height so I contend it gonna be fine.
If a person wanted the knot a lot deeper that's another situation altogether, not this.

I appreciate the thoughts. The problem was it wasn't touching anything on the bottom of the plug or at least not much.
. I'm confident after putting the plastic washers under it, problem solved. I'll know next time to do some measuring instead of assuming.
     Yes epoxy is amazing stuff I've used it for various things.
