Restitutor Orbis
Good review. I was actually hoping the soap would be a little harder than that, but that's alright as long as it performs well, and maybe it would last a little longer than the usual RR soaps.

I am still waiting for mine to be shipped but I also ordered that same brush. I already have the Black Barber handle but as I use it, I'm liking it more and more. You are right, it does have more backbone, not really scrubby in my experience but the density is more substantial. No experience yet with previous synthetics other than this one so I wouldn't know how to compare with a Plisson, but I am loving the Plissoft now.

Seriously, I'm beginning to have second thoughts about acquiring more boars and badgers now that I have tried the "good stuff".. The shedding, the lather hogging and the expense is making me second guess my past decisions. I am still happy I made my badger and boar purchases, but I am definitely slowing down now. These synthetics, at this price, with this performance? It's really great value. I didn't see it before but as I use it more.. Man, I am starting to eat my words. If you have synthetic recommendations that are of good value as well, would love to hear it.

About the bit about that elitist guy, I don't know where the discussion went down but that statement sounded douchey. It's a razor, why be elitist about a razor? Razors are status symbols now? Go buy a Ferrari.

Good value doesn't mean cheap, and expensive doesn't mean good. I think prices should really come down now, a lot of good razors are being offered that are really good value these days. Overpricing isn't going to fly as well as it did before.

Wolfmans are works of art however, and is a one man show, I have no problem with his pricing. I think James is a good guy as well.

This Colonila Razor really got me interested. I never had a single edge before; But I almost pulled the trigger on the Alumigoose, however a guy whose opinion I trust, advised me to try something else. I am already very happy with the Rockwell 6S but as you know like most of us, we are always looking for the next best thing.

Thanks for the review Chris.

I only have one question: does it actually shave any different than the latest version of normal XXX? Undecided
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
