So, I ran across these blades on Amazon and noticed a funny claim in the features and details section. It states:
"LUBRICATION - The blades hydrate the skin and protect it from any irration, leaving a soothing sensation."
I can't figure out for the life of me how these blades would provide any lubrication. I'm assuming that whoever wrote up the listing had a cartridge razor in mind. I posted a question on Amazon, but the couple of responses have mentioned pre-shave oils and shaving creams, which misses the point. The manufacturer is clearly stating that it's something unique or special about the blade that provides the lubrication.
Anyone try these? Is this just a goof on the part of the manufacturer? Or, have they somehow actually come up with a new twist on the double edge blade? Viking has been around a while, so they should know their products.
Also, while the price isn't outrageous for a DE blade, it's only 50 per pack at $7+, which is about double what I pay for most of my blades. Thought it was funny that many mention the price in their reviews of these blades on Amazon. Once again, I assume that folks are comparing them to cartridge razors.
