Today was the first use of the G5A synthetic knot, 26mm, in the Trotter Handcrafts Aurora Borealis. [Image: Z2suCLC.jpg]

The knot is very dense, lots of scrub, and, amazingly, no scrtich! Very different from the SynBad, but yet has a very soft feeling on the face. I think it matches Andrew P's description on his website. And the Aurora Borealis is a joy to use! Well done, Stubble Daddy!

It’s Monday. Chin up, here we go!

That would have been my choice as well. Great brush! Let us know how the knot continues. I find with the Synbad it takes a few shaves to break in, but maybe that’s just me.

Man, I didn't realize how bad the lighting was for the handle. Sorry Stubble Daddy for the poorly illustrated handle. Folks, it looks spectacular and my apologies for making it look dark. I will try to do it again soon!

It didn't actually come out well, so I removed it. From a distance it looked spot on. When I zoomed in, the colors were blocky.

Usually a pic that high res (~3k x 4k res) you can do some adjustments before it distorts. Perhaps it's the file format (lossy / lossless, etc)? I'm not that knowledgeable. Ooh well.

Edit: fwiw, it is saved as a jpg, which is a lossy format.
