Just Here for the Shaves
Williamsburg, KY
Just now reading this Tim and sorry about the avalanche of everything at once. I agree and do not like this race and hope neither of us win LOL. Hang in there and best wishes for the misses to have a complete recovery!

No worries my friend and I completely agree. It seems like these things come in waves. But with that said, Deb had surgery on her left eye a couple of weeks ago and her right eye this past Tuesday. So far everything is looking real good and she has a follow up in three weeks. Her vision is literally a night and day difference. All the other stuff … is just stuff. And thankfully the water heater is limping along without a complete failure. You are in my thoughts and prayers my friend.

Hey Tim, the main thing is that your wife’s surgery went well. The rest us just maintenance. Background noise.  I had my hot water tank burst a couple months back and minor flooding in the basement. Fortunately I hadn’t finished the basement yet as my wife has been on me to do for at least 25 years and it went while I was shaving so I got on top of it pretty quickly and minimized water damage. I’m looking for one of those leak alarms that will send an alert to my phone. I also had a water pump go on an old Honda van right before Christmas that was really inconvenient and then that hip replacement also right before Christmas. Life is interesting, you get up, you dust off and you keep on moving forward. And don’t look back, you might not like the look of what’s chasing you. Smile

Agreed Big Grin and thanks Marko! My wife is so excited about her change in vision and I am excited for her. The rest is just noise.

I know it has been a while. I have had quite a bit going on! I’m going to try and post an update tomorrow with my shave! All is good though and hopefully I can spend a little more time here.

AS: Test AS #2

The Deets-
So yesterday and today I have been trying this new test AS from Captains Choice. Yesterday I used the MWF and it is now toast, so Moon got the nod today. Both were very nice three pass shaves that left ne BBS for the win!

About the AS. This one has the scent changed up from the original and does smell better. I think a scent was removed from the original and Spearmint was substituted. Off the vial, you can smell the Spearmint and maybe the eucalyptus. It has a somewhat medicinal smell, maybe like a mouthwash. Once you splash it on, you get a stronger scent of Spearmint and the medicinal scent fades away. Hm … I’ll try it again tomorrow and see what else I pick up.

Home Front-
The missus is doing good after her eye surgery. It’s fun to see her experience things with a new perspective. I think it was last Friday that she needed some things from Stirling … soaps, body butters and what not. I added the Intrepid Man splash for me. A bag of the Costa Rican coffee and a Bodum Poor Over Coffee Brewer. I will be playing with that in the morning. I also jumped over to Connaught and picked up another puck of MWF. Hopefully it comes in soon. Life is good!

gone to Carolina in my mind
It's great to hear the missus is doing well Tim.  About the MFW, if I may ask, Connaught seems like is a long way to go, so was there something else in the offing?

In any case, enjoy your coffee tomorrow!

Not really. But a couple of places I checked were sold out. It seems cheaper to buy it there and have it shipped though.
