Not particularly interested in Sebum Gold, so I'm not familiar with its INCI; does the new line have the same ingredients list as the original SG line, the only difference being package and size? If so, some of the people who bought SG will not be very happy. Either way, in my opinion, the price is still pretty steep for 5 ingredients + fragrance. Just my 2 cents.

Happily picked up a set today. Looking forward to trying it out. The sebum soap is excellent stuff.

People are allowed to change their business strategy and personal opinions. Nothing wrong with change. It won’t hurt!

HAHAHAHAHAHA that's hilarious.

We've been reading for months about these "ultra luxurious, environmentally caring, amazing smelling, wonderfully presented" products.

Maybe the developer finally understood he can fool only a tiny percentage of people, he (or she) is now branching out to a much larger group of consumers.

How do the buyers of these ULTRA AMAZING sets feel? hahahaha

I've read tons of posts saying that the cost of making this pure soap is out of the world. YEEEEEAH, sure.

Marketing at its best. Thank you, you made my evening.

There is some animosity in this thread, and that is sad.

As a Sebum customer I don’t feel bad or duped.  I always purchased my Sebum kit when Rick would have sales, or on the second hand market new, or barely used.  It is all at or near the top of the pyramid as far as I am concerned (minus the sangria and purple).

If Rick has found a way to become less rigid in his views, and to evolve his business...good on him.  I hope that more folks get to enjoy his products.

I won’t be buying any of the new line until the fall...I have more shaving soaps and creams than I can use at the moment...and I don’t like having shave soaps or cigars shipped to me during the late spring and summer months due to the heat.

Sebum does not make use of Stearic Acid and instead has been replaced with luxurious butters. Sebum uses only natural ingredients. The new Tonka line gets a reformulation by using Stearic Acid and the cheaper plastic packaging so the end result is a more affordable product. I ordered the Pearl Jam.

I have reached out to Sebum for a pair of tubs for the next razor passaround.  Never tried Sebum and curious how it compares to Ethos which is by far best soap on the market. Hopefully they have the confidence to participate. Would love to try it.

Can state with confidence having tested Sebum Gold Serum side by side versus Grooming Dept Post Shave Serum; Grooming Dept was slightly better for my skin
