Hello and good day,

I am new to SE shaving and I’m trying to purchase single edge blades. I am having a difficult time figuring out what blades are for shaving and which ones are not. How can I distinguish between the two? Where can I buy? Thanks...

Welcome to the world of SE razors!

Well, there is no way to distinguish them other than the source that they were obtained from. Window scraper blades and shaving blades are mostly in the same packaging here in the USA. Or at least they were a few years ago. Maybe it has changed in that time. IDK.

CVS has carbon steel blades and Walgreens has SS blades. Both are in their shave section and are of shave quality. There are online sources of bulk SE blades. I'll post the links.

Ted Pella: # 121-3; you're looking for the triple facet SS PTFE coated blade

But possibly the best price is from Connaught Shaving even with shipping from the UK. http://www.connaughtshaving.com/gemss.html
The UK blades are in different packaging apart from hardware store blades.

+1 for tryablade.com

I
recommend getting the following single/sample blades:

Schick - Proline P-30
Kai captian titan mild
Kai captian sharpblade
Kai captian original
Feather Professional

Will cost about $10.70 shipped
