But really if you described the items as new does that not mean pristine.  Maybe you shouldn`t have included the box, as I asked why wouldn`t accept a return if that was asked, I mean obviously that would have been the best recourse

If at least you would get the razors back after the guy has been refunded by PP (if that's the final outcome) then it wouldn't be half as bad besides the headache and trouble you have to endure. Let's just the hope the member has at least some kind of conscience by returning the razors if he's refunded. I'm truly sorry it happened to you cause your an honest and stand up guy but you are right, there's always one person that has to ruin it for everyone else.

I define NOS as its listed in the Encyclopedia, Wickipedia being one of them. If I can’t look to the Dictionary for a definition, then where would be the appropriate place to look? Part of the problem I’m finding is as you write- “to me that shouldn’t be listed as NOS”. People’s expectations of what NOS is and is not apparently doesn’t coincide with the actual definition. Here is part of the definition-

While damage to the original packaging is common, damage to its contents is generally not preferred in determining if an item is NOS; however, many items have been on shelves or in storage and over time may have developed some damage. This minor damage from shelf life does not detract from an item being identified as NOS.

I wouldn’t accept a return because I had described the items accurately, including pictures of the boxes. I had posted in the thread that if there were any questions or if anyone wanted more pics to ask. It was clear through the buyers PM’s that the Razors were in pristine condition, just as I sent them, and that he was ignorant to what NOS means. I am not a business, this is a hobby for me (for now). I don’t have time to go back and forth with people just because he had a change of heart after purchasing. This would be no different than me purchasing a Brush from you and then demanding a refund because I don’t like how it feels in use. The same goes for purchasing a Soap, should I file a claim every time I don’t like the Scent of a Soap that I try and say “it wasn’t as described”?

The razors you listed definitely look like NOS.
Looks never honed, and no wearing over the razors. Excellent conditions, even boxes look amazing.
Some buyers want to get nice item but over their budgets.
Then sometimes they regret why they spent that much of money
and try to find some accuses to return it.

The Scam is the fraudulent claim that the items were damaged and not as described. This was not the case. If the items were damaged or. It as described, but hen this would be different. Feel free to handle your own personal business however you wish. I’ve got a feeling that if you were in my shoes and the exact same thing happened to you, that you would probably feel the same way.

I’ve received some great feedback and advice from members here both in this thread, and by PM. Lesson learned, and if I decide to ever participate on the BST again, I’ll be sure to follow the advice I’ve received.

In my world there isn’t much grey. Something is either right or wrong. I’ve met some of the nicest people I’ve known in my entire life on this Forum, so will do my best not to let one bad experience ruin it for me. I need to try to focus on the good, both here on DFS as well as in my personal life and job. It was not my intent to have this devolve into a thread full of mud slinging, and I’m certainly not going to get into an argument about what the definition of ‘NOS’ is.
