As a die-hard tallow soap guy I was intrigued by all of the love that SV soaps had been getting.  When I looked at the ingredient list I was further intrigued by the fact that although it is not a tallow-soap, it is not another "French-style" soap comprising essentially stearate and coconut oil.  After three shaves I find this to be the best non-tallow soap I have used.  IMHO, it even surpasses my beloved Klar Kabinett, of which I still have about 750 grams.  Although I love KK's unique powdery rose scent, SV is as easy to lather as KK, yielding a lather with perhaps even greater protection and slickness.  SV is one of the few products deserving of its hype, and I highly recommend it.

As a fellow tallow soap devotee I agree with everything you wrote. SV totally blows my mind!

Among many US and Euro artisans that I love supporting, SV is on top of my list of respected soap makers for a variety of reasons.
