Seems that every time I splash this Sailor Jerry aftershave I think “WOW!  Why doesn’t everyone use this?”
I don’t know anything about Revelations Perfumes, that makes this stuff.
Its all about the scent, and I think it’s pretty a damned good scent.
I’m sure this is what Popeye uses after spinach and before he beats the crap outta Brutus.
This scent is what Old Spice should be.
Very bold, spicy and actually lasts for a while.
The skin conditioning isn’t as good as Ethos AS…but it’s reasonable.  (It’s $25)
And, who doesn’t like a nice Benzophenone-3?  Just sayin.
Thought you’d wanna know.
Great shaves, my friends!
Pete

Can I put a little on ice for sipping?   Big Grin

I’ve tried to find a source for this that ships international but can’t so I’m stuck with only the drinking version of Sailor Jerry. That’s ok. Here’s one of my favourite cold weather sipping drinks from Trader Vic’s

1 cup milk
1tsp berry (fine) sugar
1oz Sailor Jerry spiced rum (or any rum other than white rum)
Dash angostura bitters
Warm the milk in a microwave or, as I do, a induction milk frother (Breville) add the the stuff in and enjoy. The angostura bitters gives it a nice caramel flavour and not a bitter taste which surprised me a bit.

Kind of off topic ... but not really ... I was a pro tattoo artist in street shops for 25 years. I was good friends with Mike Malone who bought Sailor Jerry's shop from his widow after his SJ's passing away of a heart attack @ 62. At one time I owned a number of Jerry's tattoo machines as well as some pieces of his original hand painted flash (design sheets) Wish I had that stuff now ...  Rolleyes Malone and Hardy called Jerry 'the old man' when he was alive, and afterwards. The 'Old Man' would be turning over in his grave if they knew the $ people were making off his name now. He'd do a tattooed name for $3.00 back in the '60s.

I sold it all to various guys within the tattoo community who were into that sort of memorabilia. Kind of like with razors, you go through an infatuation, burn out on it, sell stuff to finance the latest obscure object of desire. Kind of like a gerbil on a wheel .... round and round.  Rolleyes
