We lost the leader of the "other" Liverpool born, Brian Epstein managed, George Martin produced band.  Greatly overshadowed by the 800lb. Gorilla in the Beatles, I enjoy them just as much as any Merseybeat output.

I remember Gerry and the Pacemakers in their heyday. It seems not that long ago but, of course, it was. The memories are fond.

Those were pretty good days long gone when G&TP were popular, I remember them well and still enjoy the sound. As we age people we knew, and knew of, die leaving us to remember them. Anyone with any age on their bones knows exactly what I mean. To watch it happen isn't very enjoyable (an understatement) especially when the person who passed gave us such enjoyment. Think good things gents, and a prayer wouldn't hurt, we owe them that.
