Recently picked up a Rich Man brush on the BST with an ultralux knot. I really like the handle and the knot. Does anyone know what exactly an ultralux knot is? I wouldn’t mind picking up a couple for some handles I have lying around.

Id suggest reaching out to the vendor. He may tell you, or if they're proprietary, maybe sell you some?

Rich isn’t divulging any info. I was hoping someone had one and had others to compare it too. All these knots come from China and everybody puts a different name on the one they are using.

My son is a brush maker and yes, knots come from China but they build them to his specs. There is obviously variation between lots but that is what the series numbers often reflect. So off the shelf knots are available (and Maggards are very respectable knots) but to get a knot that a brush maker has named often means getting one directly from the brush maker
