Shave #1 - Sunday Bloody Sunday
Pre: Shower with wash cloth scrub and PAA Cube
Bowl: HC&C Stainless
Soap: Old School
Brush: Sawdust Creations with G7 synthetic
Razor: Rex Konsul with RK Chromium Blade
Post: Alum, Septic Pencil, Old School AS

First run with the Konsul today on 2 days growth (and first time using a slant). Did my normal prep and started on setting 4 for the WTG pass. Dialed it down to 2.5 for XTG and ATG. More than a couple of nicks and weepers - part of this is the learning curve with a new razor. Overall this was a pretty rough shave but I’m BBS in the end. Needed to pull out the septic pencil to stem the bleeding in a few spots.

Old school has a pleasant scent and performed well. The A/S is a little thicker / more viscous than what time used to. More tomorrow.

I would love to do some test shaves with the Rex Supply Konsul if it's still cool to join. I'll be in Oregon.

Quick shave this morning - 1 pass with cleanups.  Face was still pretty rough from Bloody Sunday.

Took a light touch with this razor on setting 2.  All good, no issues.  Nice shave.

Used HC&C bayrum soap, awesome juice AS splash and some HC&C unscented balm to finish it off.

For context, my daily driver is a Timeless Ti 95.  Light and nimble titanium razor with a longer handle than the Konsul (probably by 1 inch).  Very different balance and weight between these two.

Shave #3 Getting better
Pre: Shower with wash cloth scrub and PAA Cube
Soap: HC&C Bay Run
Brush: Sawdust Creations with G7 synthetic
Razor: Rex Konsul with RK Chromium Blade (3)
Post: Alum, Old School AS, HC&C unscented balm

Light touch on 2.5 and 2 with the Konsul. My face is healing but still not back to 100% (cut myself pretty bad in 1 spot). I’m BBS with no nicks, cuts or weepers. Feel like I need my face to fully heal up before I can adequately assess this razor.

So far, my experience with the Konsul has not been materially different than the my experience with the Ambassador. Couple more shaves to go.
