Any comparisons to a Wolfman? My favorite razor for the best few months so just a good baseline to compare -- just love its smoothness and efficiency.

They are both fantastic razors, top tier but I give the nod to the Timeless on the actual shave.

Very efficient, comfortable shave.

If you have some specific questions, happy to answer as best as I can.

That's pretty high praise. Do you enjoy aggressive razors in general? I've heard the Timeless be described as aggressive so just trying to create a baseline for what you like.

I generally think of razors in terms of efficiency but do like razors that have a reputation among the community for being aggressive.

Having said that, I have two Wolfman razors, both standard blade gap [.61mm]. They are both great and pleasant shavers however even with the .95mm gap of the Timeless, it does not feel aggressive and would say OC to OC has a smoother face feel. The angle is very shallow for optimum results from my experience but once dialed in offers superb shaves with zero irritation.

Incidentally, I also have the ATT SB and OC razors, and would say the same when comparing the R [.61mm] or H [.91mm] plates.

The Timeless has, for me, the best face feel, comfort level and efficiency combined.

Hi Banes, they are very different beasts. I just came off a week long stint with the Timeless OC using Kai and Feather blades. With the Kai I found it very smooth and close, a tad smoother than the blackbird which is the closest thing I own to the face feel of the Timeless. The feather initially gave me some irritation till I dialled it in, I suspect for me the Kai or SI blades work better in this head. I don't own the ATT H1 anymore but going by memory that may be a closer comparison. Without the ATT H1, the closest razor that I own with a similar face feel would be the blackbird.

I switched the OC out for a wolfman OC (standard blade gap) with feather blades on Monday morning this week. No comparison between the two as the wolfman is lighter (SS), less blade feel etc. The blade feel on the face is significantly reduced with the wolfman while you are constantly aware of it with the Timeless OC. With the wolfman I require some buffing around the jawline to get my BBS after 3 passes but with the Timeless OC I'm there with 3 passes and a touch up here and there. The shave is closer with the Timeless OC but you have to really watch your pressure as it's very easy to get irritation, in my case at least.

Before I weighted in on the topic I wanted to try my hand with both the Wolfman and the Timeless razor. While I recoginze comb and bars shave slightly different, these two razors are, as suggested before different beasts (I have a bar wolfman and the timeless OC). The wolfman is efficient, sleek and light (stainless steel models). The timeless has the extra look cool value that seems to translate into an equally efficient slightly bulkier razor. Both gave me BBS shaves, both were a pleasure to use and I am very fortunate to own them both and will have them for a long time. So which one is better? Neither and both. Of the two, if your looking for a sleek light razor, the timeless is not it. If your looking for an efficient razor with some heft, the wolfman is not really it. The other piece is availability. The Timesless shipped the next business day after ordering. I'm not going to raise the subject of the other since, the last time I checked there were at least two threads on this discussion alone. If you want a beautiful razor that you can get right now and is valued at the same level as the wolfman and is a contender in its own right, buy a timeless. If your prepared to wait, save your pennies and get a wolfman down the line. The third option ( I am an enabler) is get them both and you can pitch all your other razors. I didn't, but you may.

Is the Timeless going to be available in a milder version ever?

That's why I don't own a few different razors.

I am not a big fan of the style of shave you guys are describing.

The head is interesting but I don't know how much I appreciate it if I couldn't get it in a milder version.

They don't have to be everything to everyone. I'm just asking if anyone has any insight on the idea.
Shave yourself.

Aggressive, no but it does like a shallow angle and -1 pressure. Shave with the level you would use with the R41 and you got it beat. Shaved with it today and as suggested earlier, put it right up there with the Oneblade , R41 and the Wolfman in terms of smoothness and quality of shave. Not sure a razor could really do any better.....waiting for the one pass BBS maybe?

After reading all the positive reviews I think I am going to try a Timeless razor in the future. The blade gap is the only thing I am worried about. Might be a little too aggressive for me but its worth a try.

Now to decide which head to go with. Can't choose between the OC and the scalloped!

Yes guys we working on a less aggressive head as we speak. The blade gaps we are testing now are between .7-.73mm. I actually just brought one home this evening for some test runs. I will definitely try and keep you all updated with how it shaves, and possible release date. Thank you all so much.

Thanks Doug@Timeless ! Sounds like the feedback is coming in and you are already incorporating changes. Any plans to use 316L steel in any of your razors? Look forward to purchasing one of the mild versions when they hit the shelves.
