Agreed with ewk, the finishes don’t change the shave for me. I save money and get the machined.

I have a brass and stainless Overlander and I hated the bead blast finish (both aesthetically and functionally). Functionally, I felt a drag with the razor during the shave. Once I polished both top caps, the drag went away. Granted the overlander is a tall top cap design with a lot of surface area on your skin, so I don't know if it would happen with "normal" razors. That being said - polished for the win every time!

As machined needs deburred, but it’s good and functional. Polished is nice and bead blasted is tough for me (less glide and I use great soaps, but I still notice).

I would say that a vibratory tumbling would be the most cost effective after as machined and will soften sharp edges.

I have all types of razor finishes in Ti and really anything but bead blasted and I’m happy.
