Being entirely new to AC-style SE razors, I was wondering if you all could provide your opinions on the the rankings of these razors from smoothness to most aggressive?

I've only tried a couple, but the Aluminum hawk is 'slightly' more efficient than the original General aluminum. The AC razors are interesting because you can increase the aggressiveness by using a Feather Pro Super blade. It actually gives more blade exposure than the others.

Definitely right. You can also step down in aggressiveness via guarded or mild blades. For this reason, comparing AC razors is tough. One razor may be more aggressive by design, but using it with a mild blade could provide the sweet spot for you. Flip side is true for a milder geometry with a Pro Super. The difference in performance between blades is substantial.

So when you receive feedback about these razors, knowing what blade the feedback-giver uses will be really important. In an ideal world everyone would base their feedback around the Feather Pro to make comparison easier.

Yes. I agree with you both. For the comparison, let's assume Feather Pro. But if people want to make anecdotal comments based on other blades (especially if they have never used a feather pro), it would great to have them on record but please note it specifically in the comments of the different blade used.
