Question for Rod about bath bars

My wife is allergic to tree nuts.  Do you have any bar soap that doesn't have any tree nuts in it?  If I can find her some soap then I get to order stuff for me also.  

Unfortunately no. All of them contain coconut, and some contain Shea and Almond. I honestly don't know of too many artisan soap makers that don't use at least coconut. Sorry!

Yep that is what I'm running into, BUT she did say:  "I don't want any soap just order something from stirling if you want."  No more than $30 this time though.  

So, I going to buy a few bath bars, a soap, and an AS.  It will be my first Stirling purchase.  Convince me everybody:

I agree EM.  A little more refined to me than SDM, although both are nice scents.  EM is my wife's #1 scent out of any soap/AS I've ever had.

Yep, and that's the only one that will actually kill her. The others cause hives, a rash, etc.

Well my Fine Platinum is almost empty so I figured I would try something similar.

I know you posted this question about Stirling in particular, but thought I'd chime in with some general advice.

One way to avoid coconut oil is to look for soaps that are 100% olive oil. Pure olive oil (the original castile soap) does a perfectly good job cleaning, but pampers the skin. The only downside for some people is that the lather tends to be quite low, not bubbly, and some people think it feels "slimy."

If you and she are not vegan, you might also look for a pure palm, tallow or lard bath bar. Those two oils have a great mix of fatty acids that make for an effective cleansing bar but still offering the oleic acids that make olive oil so appealing.

Mixes of oil frequently including coconut because it causes a big jump up in the amount of bubbles and the cleaning efficiency even with just a small %. But you can also use castor oil to do the same thing in many recipes, so maybe you can find a mix like that.

This thread made me think about the fact that tree nuts includes coconut. I should come up with an "allergy friendly" no-coconut variety, aside from my pure olive.

Well my Fine Platinum is almost empty so I figured I would try something similar.

The Fine Platinum and EM are similar, but I much prefer the EM personally.  To me the Fine smelled like Sprite, and all of the Fine AS dry my skin out.  Stirling AS splashes have a bunch of good skin-loving ingredients in them so I surprisingly haven't had this issue with any of their splashes.
