LOL...Im not his target customer....and this isn't a complaint...Just having a little whinge, as you do.
If he had a decent system in place I might consider a badger at some point....there is
NO way Id pay that for a synthetic.....for that price I could get 3 omega evos which
work amazingly well for me.
Wald’s A1 is very different from other synthetics. And, to a point you made earlier, yes, it is hand tied.

I haven't tried it. According to comments, it has the thinnest and softest fibers.
He might use make-up brush fibers. And it might be close to "motherlode" which has very thin and soft fibers, too.

That’s right - much thinner fibres than other brushes, and packed much more densely. He also uses longer fibres so the knot is set deeper and there is no glue bump. It’s incredibly soft feeling, and when I stroke my other synthetics they feel a lot coarser. I like the Wald a lot, actually, and it’s quite addictive. It splays very easily even though it is so dense, and you can scrub with it very well. I can easily load enough lather for three or four or five passes, and the brush handles water well and doesn’t dry out the lather between passes like I’ve experienced with other synthetics. The knot takes much longer to dry than other synthetics, though, so not the same convenience as a travel brush.

I’m a fan (pun not intended). I enjoy it way more than other synthetics I’ve used, and as much as a good badger - although it’s an entirely different thing from a badger brush. I think it’s a very credible high-end brush - especially these days when so many of the artisan soaps seem to work best with a synthetic. I find that I use it a hell of a lot - it surprised me.

I don't really stroke my synthetics....although they feel pillow soft to my face.
(except the Muhle stf)
Im sure he has a nice narrative to justify the staggering premium, and I have no reason
to doubt it. However, even if it was handpicked by virgins who soak them in asses
milk for 3 years before tying the knots, not my cup of tea.

I'd rather spring for a nice razor and some excellent blades at this point. Lathering
is something I like to be done with in under a minute (unless making a youtube video)
hehe.

I’d rather use the money to spring for a delicious farm-to-table dinner, but only if I can refuse to try foods I might like, but will never try (since I refuse to try them, but enjoy complaining about them).

There’s a super high end pen drop tomorrow. It’s only $1200 for the ultimate pen that can write checks that one’s ass can’t cash. Better move fast to secure one…

I’m actually not having anything. I’m only here to discuss what I’m not having.
