I thought about straights for all of 5 seconds. If I wanted to get into them that means I would want to do and learn everything myself including setting an egde/honing, etc. I'm weird that way. That is just too much money I can spend elsewhere. DEs/SEs are going to have to do.

I didn't, I looked at one for a couple of milliseconds & went & hid under the bed.  Smile

(My hands are not steady. No way am I ever putting a naked blade up against my face).

Video bookmarked, I'll definitely have a look. Thanks!

The 102 is a nice slant that can provide great shaves. Rather than take a hit on the sale, may want to shelve it for a while and come back to it later. If you still don't connect, then drop it like a bad habit! Smile

I'd thought of that, and I did get some extremely close shaves with the razor, but the honest truth is that I just didn't like it. Didn't like the heaviness, found the length awkward.

Although there's a thought. I did try the head for a while on my Kelvin handle, liked that better, although the burn was still an issue. Maybe I should just sell the Bulldog handle & keep the head...

Sure thing jimofthecorn

Also, if you are looking for an aluminum handle make want to check out Windrose as well. The ALB and ALD are aircraft aluminum, chrome plated.

Good luck!

Apologies for the head fake... I exchanged some notes with Andrew and understand that he is working on both a wider assortment of handles as well as a Windrose razor head. I believe he'll jump in here at DFS once he has the details ironed out to tell us more.
