I'm still on the fence about pre-shave products, personally. that said, I absolutely hate pre-shave oils, both as a pre-shave oil and as an oil you'd shave with directly without any other cream/soap.

GD Pre isn’t an oil...I dislike oils too. it’s a light gel....big difference. And the results for me are stellar.

I know, I had a tester sample of the GD pre-shave and have a tub of the regular production stuff...

I've had some issues with it, which I've spoken to Mohammad about privately. I just don't know if pre-shaves do anything special for me...I don't use any pre-shave items when I shave my lower neck and cheeks, only when I shave my head, on occasion...

All our faces and needs are different...What works great for one person...might be a fail for another....It’s all YMMV...

It’s a fact that no matter how well a product may work for you, it’s never universal. There will be those for whom it does not work.

I have noticed a difference between V1 and V2. I use a small plastic sample scoop to scoop up a small amount of preshave so I don’t constantly stick my finger into the tub. It works fine with V1 but with V2 it’s a bit harder because the product keeps slipping off the scoop which is clearly because V2 is slicker. Not a big deal, just have to scoop it against the side of the tub.

Same here. V1 is more viscous than V2, but I can still easily get what I need using a metal collar stay with V2, and V2 still works great for me.

In the lab, I have a version of the preshave and Janus Vegan (liquified), rolled into one product in a pump bottle, you'd be able to just rub it onto one's face and shave or lather it then shave Smile

I've been using Giovanni brushless cream as a pre-shave on my neck since that is where it is sensitive. Its a brushless cream so you can use it like Cremo or Kiss My Face, but Giovanni is way better than the those. There are also has lots of really good ingredients in Giovanni. I have not tried the GD pre-shave yet, but I will.
