I have to wonder how small their computer would be today, and how little "juice" it would take to run it?

I stopped reading about halfway through. Pretty interesting. I'll pick up and finish it later. Hopefully tomorrow. I didn't understand much of it but it's nice to read something truly fascinating like this.

You use Fortran for that?

the pi uses debian linux and my scripts are php. Tongue

Fascinating article. I could feel the sweat running down my back as I watched the gentlemen work with their computer. Thanks for posting.

Wonderful piece -- I remember reading it in the magazine. Happily, since that article came out, Gregory and David Chudnovsky have found an academic home at NYU.
