Serious question but is this type of oxidation safe to use on the skin? Is there any risk of infectious problems if you were to get cut? The age looks nice but something tells me I’d need a tetanus shot first.

Verdigris is toxic; if you ingest a rather large enough amount. Most anything copper is, in excess. With contact on the skin, some people might develop contact dermatitis or irritation if they're sensitive to metals (I have a friend that can't wear any metals). Fortunately, I have no such problem. It's like wearing a copper bracelet that turns your skin green from sweating. Like I mentioned earlier, once the process is complete, I wax it all with two applications to both protect the patina - and myself. It's all good.

Thanks so much! I'm quite happy with the results. Of course, I miss it being highly polished also; the aluminum bronze used looks almost like gold when it is.

The thought did cross my mind to hit up a ATT Windows in tellurium copper...
