A wonderful shave was had today. Been a couple weeks since I used a straight. I have been testing a few products and have been using DE razors for mindless shaves in order to pay attention to new products. I finally completed my Dragonsbeard set with the brush and stand and I could not be happier! Awesome craftsmanship by Tim Knothead!
Family is doing good and work has been keeping me a lot busier than I would choose, but that’s life and I am thankful to be working. Thank y’all for reading and I hope y’all had a great weekend! Hopefully I can be a little more consistent here on the forum in the future.

Nice shave today. Brush is a fairly new addition. Bought off the BST a few weeks ago and I am truly enjoying it! This is my favorite bay rum soap and it smells so good I had to get the matching EdP. The razor is another favorite of mine. I can always count on a quick smooth shave, and I really like the copper color.

Nice shave this morning. I told Dave in KY that I was going to join the 1508.5 club and this one is the one I am going to start with. I may not actually succeed in doing this, but it is worth a try. Right now I have thinned out my software to just under 50 soaps, but I am still feeling the need to thin it out a little more.
Lonestar was a soap I was trying to find for a while last year and although I do really enjoy the scent and the base it is just a little too light for me.

Great shave with a great soap! This scent is right up my alley. Dragonsbeard will always be my favorite scent, but this one is not too far behind it. I have never smelled Creeds Wood and Spice, but this scent does smell similar to Armani Code in my opinion. The performance of the soap is what you would expect from Frank. Top notch from lather to finish!

Update:

Well it has been a while since I have posted here. Life got super busy and I just did not have the spare time to post much. I have not grown a full beard though at times I definitely pushed it. Work has been part of that reason. I have been getting more responsibilities, and we have been going through a lot of projects. Even though I enjoy my job I would definitely like a better schedule and a change of scenery, so I have decided to go back to school.
Family has been really good as well. My son just turned two a week ago and he is really taking on his own personality. My wife is doing well too and she is pregnant with the second baby! We found out it’s another boy and he’ll be here in mid July! So that is another reason I have been busy. We are currently getting another nursery put together!

Thank y’all for reading my journal and I hope y’all have a great Friday!
