Back to reality, he shouldn’t care what we think about if he does it again, he should care if he can sell enough to satisfy those who want it and make money doing it.

Is the choice of razor handle between Ti-1 or Ti-2 open for discussion? If it is, I would vote for the Ti-2 handle because of its comfort.

I'd be in if around $300 but not much more. Just being honest.

Would have been better if a poll had been attached to the OP.
One could instantly gauge the interest by hard numbers.
Right now, its a bit lost in the discussion.

I saw more ayes than nays but the question a businessman would need to ponder
over is: can I sell as many or more than I did with the DB Ti?

I don't know the economics of making a razor for a relatively small bunch of enthusiasts...someone
did say small runs cost more.

Still feel he and his bottom line would be better off exploring something newer and better.
Or at least provide the illusion that it will be.
But at the end of the day, it's his call entirely.

For me, the DB Ti was a blind buy because I had read so much praise for it from all corners of the world.
If my memory serves me right, the T1 reviews I have read paint it as his most aggressive razor
and I did read some reports said it was not as smooth as later models. That was the reason he made the T2.

Just to clarify, I don't own either the T1 or the T2 so I have no vested interest. This early in the process,
the T1 does not hold any interest for me.

I am in for the new release. I would prefer polished version but satin is as well ok.

The non tapered version?  The original Ti2 shipped with the same handle as the Ti1, about 30 of them.

The non tapered version came after.

I would go for a Ti1 or maybe a Ti2 reissue. Possibly a 17-4 reissue. I can't remember how the Diamondback compared to those.

I remember someone mentioning Andy no longer had the CAD files to reproduce past offering and that the Diamondback was the only one he had retained...  Confused2

DB is positioned in the middle in terms of aggressiveness compared to all other razors. The Ti2 and 17-4 are milder, while the Ti1 and Javelin are more aggressive.
