The head does look oddly soft. So I guess we now know why the delays. Poor quality razor delivered to Paradigm. Andy then he had to personally polish each one to fix the problems. Because of the heavy polishing potentially impacting the quality of shave, he tested every single one on his own face. Probably he did the right thing and tested each one three days consecutively. And of course there was the sanitation process before sending out. All in all, these were delivered pretty quickly!

I copied a picture from a sale on another forum.  Hope that's okay.  The sale is over.  Mine is the second pic.  Notice how crisp the bevel edges are on the first one, and how rounded and smooth they are on mine.  The difference in appearance is obvious, and I would think the difference in shaves might be as well.  Now that I look at mine more closely, it appears that the two sides aren't even the same.  The right bevel seems more rounded than the left.  Could be just the light.  Also, all the edges of mine are smoother, from the rims of the index cutouts to the edges of the safety bars.  The whole dang thing is smoother.  I would love to compare the shaves of these two razors side by side.

That is a huge difference I wonder if the shave results and feel would vary it sure looks like it has to affect the blade rigidity

Regardless of who's fault it was for the problems that arose with this razor it ultimately falls on Andy and no one to blame but him!! The pics I've seen in the past 48hrs of what some have received is IMO, unacceptable for something that is offered by Paradigm. His track record with releases in the past haven't been the smoothest and I don't believe he's had a release that has met what was originally established but the quality of those releases were of very good quality unlike whats being shown in the last 48hrs!!

I've no dog in this fight and have only a cursory understanding of the issues but I totally agree. That's based soley on the two photos in a prior post too. IIRC, the issue was bad parts received requiring additional polish work. The additional polishing used to "rectify" poor parts killed them, IMO. Those should have never, ever been shipped. I'd be thoroughly smoked. Terribly unfortunate situation, one I'm glad not to be in.

I wonder why Andy even accepted those defective parts in the first place. He should have sent everything back. Not sure if he had the chance to do that though.

Paradigm is still listed on WCS. Sounds like the machine shop messed up. Andy's prior releases seemed to go ok. Maybe a new supplier???

The link is not working anymore.

There is no more official product description page available anywhere.
WCS removed the only one even before the customers get their razors.
Probably not wanna get any negative feedback in their website.

Just got mine back today and got a shave in this afternoon. I am highly impressed with this one and the new buffing did not change the blade clamping at all. Andy did mine in a brushed finish and it looks amazing and shaved like my absolute top razors!! I need a couple more uses to really rank it but this one is definitely a keeper and from what I remember from my shaves with the 17-4, this one is definitely smoother and may be more efficient. Any others still have the 17-4 that can do a comparison?

Can you share pictures for comparison with the two recently shown?

Hard to imagine anyone accepting a batch of completely compromised products. Perhaps the contracts were not written in such a way that he was protected.

No matter what, I don’t see why he and WCS couldn’t have agreed on update messages to be issued. I find most of the time people can be okay with delays so long as they know what is going on. [Coming from the experience of flight delays.]
