How does the Paradigm, especially the Javelin, compare to the Blackbird? Which one is milder and more efficient?

javelin is more efficient then the blackbird, it's efficiency² but still a smooth razor (YMMV). Been enjoying it a lot lately, trying out all kinds of blades.

Favorites so far: Feather - Gillette blacks - Nacet - PermaSharp - Polsilver - Super Iridium.

I've become quite fond of the handle, something I didn't expect. Have no idea if Andrew is going to produce the javelin or when but I hope so.

Last I heard of him was this message: Hi Ron — I am working on a new DE, which is actually pretty different from 17-4, but should be better. I don't want to say too much about material, design, release date, because those are fluid.

So I guess patience ....

It's just an observation on my part, but this Paradigm prototype appears to be the 17-4 in different steel.

I could be wrong tho...

Probably months away. Email from West Coast Shaving indicated they will be selling it. No price and no other info given.

Thanks for the interesting insight, very appreciated, sir. One more comparison with the Pils -- as this is the last one on my list -- and I will be ready to pull the trigger (or to wait and hope respectively).

Completely different razor the Pils but still one of my top favorites, always gives me a fantastic shave, been experimenting with different handles.
