There is a lot of blade exposure on the salient and the head stack is short.  It works best with a very light touch, never riding the cap, and a sharp blade for me.   In fact I suggest to ride the safety bar on it if you still have it.

Again, YMMV but it is one of two razors that Andy made that isn’t “automatic” on shave angle and low blade feel.  The other is the Ti1.

Maybe not "automatic" but I find it very smooth and efficient. Love mine and used it yesterday !Friday April 26, 2024
