Perhaps, but my DOC Evolution razors, in both stainless and aluminum, are beautiful and efficient shaving tools. There are DOCs worth owning, and those that aren't.

I have the DOC aluminus. Never used the yaqi version.

Hard to compete with that.Where do you think American vendors have their inexpensive razors produced? All rely on Chinese and Indian manufacturers. Italian Barber DOC is made in the same factory as the Yaqi it would appear. The original PAA DOC I believe was made in India (Pearl sells the identical razor direct outside North America).

No, I get that part. The point I was trying to make is the DOC by PAA was a direct copy of the grand shave king made a long time ago that hadn't been produced at all. Once China/India got their hands on one they mass produce it at a lower price. I don't remember ever seeing a DOC before PAA made one. Now you do. It may not be a direct copy, but if they came up with the newer razor they would have sold it on the market before PAA. Parthenon is now making an all brass adjustable (with the exception of the blade tray) for $49. Try doing that in the USA. You can't. The rockwell model T better be REALLY good.

Is the evolution going to come back, because PAA doesn’t currently have it.

I sure hope so. It's one of my top DE razors, along with the Charcoal Goods Level 3, Blackbird OC, Paradigm 17-4, R41 2011, Ikon Tech and ATT H2.

Ha somebody just offered a straight up trade: My game changer for a SS DOC Evolution. Not sure why somebody would do that knowing that there will be a new batch soon.
