I always look, particularly as the weather warms, in the trees to see if I can sight them roosting and she was very much tucked into the branches of this particular tree. My wife was amazed that I had even been able to see her in fact!

Here's another shot I grabbed with a tighter zoom...

I do think they have young birds in the nest as I can hear various scratching sounds etc. so hope to have some images of the babies soon! Amazing creatures and so very cool to share the yard with them Smile

They really do- that is a cedar tree but in the oaks they are even more camouflaged. Pretty incredible stuff! Thanks for the kind words on the images but the owls did all the work Smile
