After the infused oil (oleolith) ... it was the oil tincture (Oleotincture LCC).
In the pre-shave, using only the protective and mechanical functions, I intended to give the oils a little hand with herbal drugs.
Actually Lavender, Chamomile and Calendula have really interesting properties, and give the best of them in the aftershave version.
But unlike the many products on the market, I wanted something "really" soothing.
No frills, no compromises.
But easy easy ... so DIY !!
To buy:
Lavandula Angustifolia Essential Oil 10ml (Lavender)
Calendula Officinalis Mother Tincture 60ml (Marigold)
Matricaria Chamomilla Mother Tincture 60ml (Chamomile)
Combine the three liquids, which will form a moderately soluble suspension.
This means that the oily part (lavender) will remain partially suspended, not dissolved.
Must be emulsified by shaking the bottle before each use.
Maybe remember to write it on the label.
The final lotion has strong medicinal properties, and can be used in very small quantities.
I personally leave it in a bottle with a dropper dispenser (cap or separate), and apply 4 drops at a time.
I distribute them on the palm of my wet hand and rubbing it with the other I bring it back to my wet face.
Also because wasting on both hands such a product ... hurts your wallet !!
In this regard it is better to share with a friend.
A 10ml bottle with dropper lasts a couple of months.
In the heat days I use my miracle potion for the fresh result.
A magnificent sense of comfort remains on the skin, with a lasting though intimate fragrance.
Rich in Lavender and citric notes, with a light herbaceous undertone.
To Chamomile and Calendula, to increase comfort and smooth the citrus note, I also associated the Rose.
Extemporaneous experiment that gave excellent results.
Another important advantage is also to reduce the production cost by adding Rose Water (hydrolat by steam distillation, no macetation).
Just mix in a 1:1 ratio with Oleotinture LCC.
So, the next version 2.0 is the new Oleotincture LCCR.
It is better to do it all at once.
The mother tincture contains alcohol, and lowering the concentration by dilution can create a deposit.
If so, just add a little 90° ethyl alcohol.
Better in several times, up to 10% of the initial volume, and shake well with each addition.
At the end filter on TNT gauze and bottle.
I share this formula and leave you free to use and modify.
I treat my creations all in the same way: I leave them free in the world ... after making them strong in the foundations.
Here the foundations are the technical purpose ... not cosmetic: the E.O. it is far beyond the dosages related to the fragrance.
So replacing it is equivalent to creating a different tool: that is well ... if well designed.
This is the spirit with which I share: to help the reader, registered or not.
