Gentlemen,
The Gillette Aristocrat is the most beautiful safety razor ever made. To me, anyway. The razor is joy to shave with. The only negatives are the exposed blade tabs. But then what’s life without a little sin?
This is my 1949 Gillette British Aristocrat. Oh how sweet.

Love my Aristocrats. I haven't done it but if a bother, why not use some scissors and clip off some of each side tab before loading a blade? May work.... it's what I do to load blades in my original Gibbs Adjustable

Interesting thought, Dave. That could work. I will keep it in mind.

Dave, my friend, that is a handsome one. I have looked for a 1934 open comb, but thus far nothing to my liking.

Thanks Obie This was listed on the Bay with a single Schick de blade as a Schick razor for $40. Great shape except for plating which Back Roads Gold fixed with a generous gift card from a guy from Maine
