It was either this or ramping up the price on the WR1 to slow demand. It makes sense from the standpoint that he states that during the hand finishing process he has a machine sitting idle not making anything which definitely includes money. Looking forward to hearing user feedback and seeing the internals of the head.

I wonder if someone with a .74 Wolfman cares to comment on their shaving experience?

I have both a .61 and .74 OC Wolfman.  I find both to be a smooth shavers and am comfortable using both.  I find the .61 to have the blade feel of a Slim on 5 but more efficient than the Slim on 9.  While the .74 relates more closely to a Slim on 7.  The .74 will bite if I am reckless but it is the more efficient of the two.  The .74 Wolfman OC and my .95 Timeless OC are very similar to me in terms of efficiency and smoothness.

Thank you for your thoughts. I use my Slim/Fatboy on setting 6. It sounds like I would prefer the .61, but I think I should be able to handle the .69 based on your feedback (and assuming the new Wolfman razor has the same geometry as the WR-1).

Assuming the same geometry as the WR-1 you'll be fine. I find both of the Wolfman razors to be much smoother than the Slim despite similar blade feel.

Does anyone know if the head will be offered by itself as the handle is quite unappealing?

The last sentence in the post I saw on Instagram said the following:
“The handle comes with the razor head.”

We've seen a lot of improvements from other makers, offering various innovative designs of the same quality, unlike this one. If I am not mistaken, the only similarities with the Wolfmans is the material and the shop. They will be made by a different person. The head looks bulkier than his usual designs. The high demand will be fullfilled somehow, but with an inferior product and this is maybe a downshift. And this is my opinion.

FWIW, it's not supposed to be an "improvement," just a cheaper, readily available alternative. The machining design was still done by James. He's been having an assistant for a while, so if you've gotten a Wolfman in the recent future, his assistant must have played a role in some part of the process.
As you can see from this album (sorry if I can't post links - I can edit in the pics if need be. I just don't like the formatting on here for photos) It's not that much more bulky. The head is still low profile. It's meant to be a budget alternative so it can be argued as "inferior," because it's not meant to be as highly finished as the WR1 line. Its finish is definitely not as nice as the Wolfman line's but it's still very nice (in my opinion anyway) - someone on the Reddit thread even compared the finish to the Above the Tie razors, so the finish is not terrible by any means. I think it shaves just as well as the regular Wolfman and I'm not surprised, since James does great work. If you want a great performer at an affordable (as far as machined razors go), get a Guerrilla. If you want a great performer with a high standard of care when it comes to the finish, get a Wolfman.

FWIW, I don't think it's slippery at all. The width of the handle and indent at the bottom makes gripping less worrisome than I thought. That said, I'll still be using a different handle on it (due to aesthetics).

I think it may be a tad harsher than the 0.61mm WR1, but that said, the 0.61mm head feels like a Schick I type to me.. I can't feel it on my face at all. The Guerrilla at least lets me know it's actually on my face, if that makes sense. Have you messed with other blades or angles?

I've used a 0.61mm and a 0.74mm. I'd say the Guerrilla definitely feels like it's somewhere in between the two (which makes sense, since it's 0.69mm blade gap apparently). Perfect daily driver, IMO and it's making me want to try and get a 0.67mm Wolfman.

As far as I know, they will only come with the handle.

I think this is a great alternative for anyone who wants a Wolfman, but either doesn't have the money or the patience to wait for a WR1. This seems to me like this razor is a way to alleviate the pressure of demand while offering an alternative. Is it going to make everybody happy? Of course not. There's no way to make everyone happy.

Bah, seing it side to side to a Wolfman, makes the handle even worse looking imo.

Then you can go buy a Wolfman lol. Guerrilla's cheaper, so.. you can always buy a Maggard's handle or something and its total cost will be ~an ATT razor. You're not obligated to use that handle. You're not buying Guerrilla for the aesthetics, you're buying for the performance.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that the handles are that way so they need minimal finishing. That's the whole point of the line. Less finishing = more made at an affordable rate, and it helps James's health. I'm sure all that polishing is not good for his lungs or fingers in the long run..

I find it rather funny that people are commenting on performance, or how the handle needs more grip when they've never even used this razor. Yet based on photos alone they can make broad assumptions and try to discredit a new offering.

This is priced in line with several SS razors, and some have already said the finish is better than that of an ATT; need I remind some that ATT is rather popular for what they offer. The Guerrilla is an affordable offering with a simpler finish and performs as well as the WR1. So to argue the appearance will have some negative impact on performance is ridiculous at best, and inversely a WR1 doesn't perform any better based on it's meticulous hand finishing either.

If you don't like the look, you don't have to get one and that's fine, because not everyone likes a fat handle....not like you can swap it out or anything. Otherwise making broad assumptions of it's performance based on it's appearance only makes you look ignorant.
