New Timeless Aluminum Slant DE Razor!!!

Mine is out for delivery. Barring any USPS mishaps I will have my first go with it tomorrow.

First shave went very well. It has some blade feel. Not as efficient as I expected. Will try a sharper blade tomorrow. The razor like all other Timeless is top notch. Excellent fit and finish with perfect blade alignment. 

It's too bad that it has negative blade exposure. That was the deal breaker for me.

Tried it with the Bic blade and it was much more efficient than with the Falcon. I am usually one and done with blades but I am going to use the Bic one more time.

Same here. Aluminum aside, negative exposure I fear will be way too mild for my taste. Still a damn fine looking razor at an unbeatable price. Anything can happen!

It strikes me as a razor that would pair well with a sharper blade. Was the first shave just not as close as you wanted, or did it take a bit more work to get there?

The first shave was not as close as I wanted. That being said the first shave with any new razor is always a learning experience.
It has been 8 hours since my shave this morning. I do not feel any stubble but have a bit of irritation. I am going back to the Falcon tomorrow and hopefully will find that balance of effectiveness and comfort that we all desire.

Finding the perfect blade for a new razor can be a challenge. The Wizamet blades are almost as sharp as the BIC, so they might be a good option for that razor if the BIC caused irritation. However, once you learn the optimal shave angle for the razor, the BIC might work.

You are correct, it can be a challenge. Especially trying out a new razor and finding the right angle sometimes takes a little bit of experimenting. The Wizamet could be a good blade for it. I have had good luck with it in a few razors. I had great shaves with the Overlander, Merkur 38C, Timeless 0.38 Bronze. These are the "milder" razors I have used it with and got excellent results.

The Bic is a great match with my Prewar Tech.
