I've seen a few folks review it with that same impression. I don't recall for sure, but I want to say Tim MilkCrate and Eric MaineYooper were among those.

You really can't go wrong with any Stirling base, though. Rod does an outstanding job.

Yes, the mutton base is nice. I only have sheep but was thinking of trying Varen also. And you are right, you can’t go wrong with Stirling. Great vendor!

Is there any odor/funk to the Sheep?

Hi Bob, Yes, there is a light scent, but not stinky musky or offensive. To my nose it’s lighter than my MWF, which has faded some with age. My nose is crap for picking up scents and describing them. But I’d be happy to send you a sample, just shoot me a PM.

I detect absolutely nothing. Blank as a piece of paper to my nose.

Can anyone tell me which soap has relatively light scents from Stirling?

Not many, really. If you want something other than their unscented, Executive Man is worth a try. It might be one of the most lightly scented soaps that I've tried. Pick up samples.

Autumn Glory I quite like as a Fall fragrance.   Performance of Stirling soaps is always excellent, and to me it almost exactly duplicates jumping in a pile of damp oak leaves.
