Sudsy Soapery has a new scent in their tallow soap coming out tomorrow: Lemon Rose Chypre. Although I am not an aficionado of rose, this may serve well for those who didn't like their initial lemon tallow soap. Wink
Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.

My issue with them is their base rather than the scents. Imo..just not up there with WK, GD, T+S, B&M....at least for my face...

Tallow & Steel didn't "ring" my bell as their scents are so outlandishly obscure IMO. Nor did the performance impress me. Grooming Dept. is unobtainium for damn near all so I can't compare. Wholly Kaw I liked, but not any better than Uplift, Lisa's Artisan or Dirtyver for that matter. Add A&E's new goat milk/tallow to the aforementioned three and that is my current "Four Horseman" of soaps.

Speaking of scents...the last SS Lemon I smelled...Lemon Uplift was anything but...smelled like a lemon furniture cleaner. May have put up with it if the performance was there...but it wasn’t..All soaps are YMMV...

Their vegan soaps were the best of any I have tried out of a boatload and the tallow version is a smidge better IMO. Hell, their vegan soaps beat 99.99% of all tallow soaps for that matter IMO. As aforementioned, all faces are different. I will state in their defense that SS vegan soaps require little water and perhaps some over hydrate it(?).

I honestly don't know if mine is vegan or tallow. It was thrown in during a BST sale. Now I need to go check.

It's vegan. The only tallow soaps they have are Uplift and this new one.

I tried a few including the Uplift, but am only keeping the Delor de Treget collaboration with CL). Just because I very much like the CL scents I ordered a tub of the Lemon Rose Chypre. Looking forward to trying it whenever it arrives
