New SE razor - The General

Yes, an open comb would make it more stable.  We will most likely develop an open comb version eventually.

Our GEM SE may be an open comb! I worked a tad on it last Friday.

hey kyle, nice to know your considering producing the gem razor down the road, considering how sharp,smooth and long lasting are the personna gem PTFE blades it would be shame not to have modern razor made for it besides the vintage ones.

Curious though, will choice of metals be aluminum only or stainless steel also?

We currently are working on a new razor, but it is not a Gem style. We do plan to offer a Gem style razor in the very near future, though. It will most likely be aluminum to start.

Yesss!!! Finally!

I shave with the black General for around 10 days and will purchase 3 of the silver version (one for me and two for gifts). I love this razor. The ergonomic is fantastic, making it a razor as manoeuvrable as a DE. Moreover, blade-wise, it is the most versatile SE that I know. Having a very sensitive skin, I can use ProTouch or Captain Mild for daily shaving, and Feather Pro / Super Pro for 2-3 days beard growth. Whatever the aggressiveness of the blade may be, I don't "outch" and can get a deep BBS easily. Previously, I owned the Alumi/Mongoose and can't go for Pro nor SuperPro. I love the General so much that I am currently trading most of my other razors. It now is at the core of my rotation. Kyle and Kirk have achieved an amazing job. Their first razor already has a great maturity. I am glad to give them my business and recommend The General to anyone who wants to start DE shaving, and stop seeking.

Kyle, Kirk: If you read me, you'll make my day if only you could consider to offer the General in brass.

Wow!!! We thank you so much for your kind words on The General! It means so much to us to hear how well The General is performing for others! Our main goal when designing it was making it a joy to use for sensitive skin people like ourselves.

We are most definitely going to get The General made in other metals as well, especially stainless and brass. The aim will be to do so in 2017 some time.

I will be keeping an eye out for sure. The General has been a wonderful transition from DE to SE for me. Very affordable, well-made and gives an awesome shave. I'm honestly thrilled with the razor and with SE shaving now.

Our machine shop shipped the razors yesterday. We won't have them in our hands until next week. We will send an update through our newsletter and update all social media when back in stock. Hoping this coming week to be in stock!
