It shaves like a razor...by using a sharp blade to cut hair on the face.

Now either buy one or dont, but don't be disrespectful to those that take the time to try and give us some insight beyond the fact that it is a single edge razor...

I agree with your basic sentiment, but I want to offer a critique about this forum in general:

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LET THE SNARK THREADS/POSTS DIE!!!

I don't know if it is because the site is still growing and needs more traffic, or that the purposeful lack of moderation allows for an extra dose pissyness, but for the love of Christ: snark dies out on The Wicked Edge faster than here.

Even when a thread rights itself back onto course, we can never just let it be. Days later, we have to kick the dog under the porch.  And it happens thread after thread after thread.

To me, I see it as the only obstacle to this place being a killer forum.

the forum will continue to grow because of its neutrality with merchants and the friendly environment.

if you see something that needs to be moderated, please let us know as we don't get a chance to read every thread or post. we don't want to get so overbearing with rules and 'moderating' that people don't want to visit the site any longer. there's other forums out there that'll fill that need where the site owners aren't neutral and have a plethora of forum rules.

I get what you are saying. I'm just saying that "beating a dead horse" goes on way too much here. I have no idea what the answer is.

The answer is simpler than we can imagine. If we could, all, take a moment to contemplate our thoughts with an open heart before typing them onto the keyboard, it would bring about a completely different dialogue. We, all, have the ability to do it. It is just a matter of remembering to do it. Shy

As always, Celistino hits the nail on the head.

I am always amazed that moderation is needed on a shaving forum.  People should be able to civilly disagree with each other without resorting to name calling and snarks.

I remind users to look at our last of only four rules: Be respectful of all other members at all times.  Period.

I also want to remind members that every post has a "report" button.  If someone is not conducting themselves properly they can be reported.  While we may not be able to read every post in every thread every day, we do look at every reported post and respond as needed.  As long as the report system is not abused, it will remain a useful tool so the moderation team can look into issues before they get out of hand.

I asked on social media. This was the response:
"We have just finalized certain aspects of the business. We will be ordering supplies within the next few weeks. Batch 1 will be ordered in early July. We will do an update when we get a tad closer."

Thanks for the update.  I put my name on the waiting so will see what happens.

I don't even know why people disagree in something as inconsequential as a "shaving forum" Happy
