New razors using the GEM Blade?

I was thinking the same thing and signed up for email notification.

It just never ends, does it? I'm going to be buying razors until I'm in the grave, I think!

And I keep thinking there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Silly me.

I had a nice PAA mail call today - the Starling plus High Jump 47 soap and AS.  Even better though, I had a nice BBS shave with the gear tonight - and that is after breaking my own "change one thing at a time" rule with a new razor and new soap.  

This is definitely a good time to be a traditional shaver!  As momor said, the razor is pretty, well finished, and nice and tight - and all for $39.95!  The angle is easy enough to find - just keep the head near the skin, and the razor gives good feedback.  I was pleasantly surprised at how maneuverable the Starling is, especially as I have come to generally prefer heavier razors.  The only issue I encountered was a very occasional bit of razor drag, but my experience tells me this was me getting used to the angle, the soap, or both.

Since this is the V2 rollout, I will repeat my shave of the day photo here, just to give anyone who is inclined one more thing to think about:

Looks like a new style of aftershave bottles, that's kindof a cool look.
(Knowing me this could be a change that isn't new at all, and I just never saw it, ha)

I am not sure, but I vaguely recall seeing that the style is actually a reprise of a vintage bottle style.
