As I recall, one or both of your Gillette adjustables is/are clocked to a higher gap!

A wonderful shave this morning with the Lupo 127. I skipped yesterday as the growth was still light from Friday evening’s shave and wanted to try something out for this mornings shave. I decided I was going to go with a single ATG pass and if needed a 2nd touch up pass if I missed a spot or two during the ATG exercise. The razor was locked & loaded with the Minora blade from its first shave on Friday and it was an amazingly good first pass. Cleared the face & neck easily and comfortably that had me at a DFS look and feel. I felt a small patch just under the chin and a slightly larger patch on either side of the Adam’s Apple but, the jawline, cheeks and both sideburns were completely clear of stubble. Threw some suds under the chin and apple area and cleaned that out nicely with a hybrid ATG/XTG pass as the hairs there grow almost sideways like. Almost like a J-hook maneuver to clear out those pesky whiskers. The 127 did it beautifully without a single issue. Face feels great and calm without a red dot or irritation to mention. Just a lovely shave that was highly efficient yet still very comfortable & easy on the skin.

Great shaves to all….

Ok, I bit the bullet and grabbed both a Lupo 0.95 and the new 1.27. Early thoughts after one use of each:

Lupo 0.95 might be pretty similar to the GC 1.05 in both feel and results.

Lupo 1.27 definitely feels on par with the Stirling ST. I used to love my R41, but I've gotten to the point that I think I would rather use either the ST or the 1.27 instead.

Ouch. For someone that liked the .68 GC this would peal me! Smile

I recently received my Lupo 1.27 plate. Here are some pictures I took after loading it with a Personna lab blue for my inaugural shave.

I received the 127 yesterday and used it this morning. Ridiculous. In a good way. Even at a 1.27 gap with what seems to be decent blade exposure it still manages to be smooth and very comfortable. Not to mention EFFICIENT!!! After a couple more uses I will likely do a post about it but I can't imagine what I already think after one use will likely be much different. I like it. I am posting a pic below to try and illustrate the blade exposure.

The 1.27 is a great 2 pass razor. I gave myself a slight case of the heat gremlins around the chin with an extra couple of strokes cleaning up and verifying with an alum run but, everywhere else is super smooth and undisturbed skin that is cooled and refreshed with the Cryogen from CF. With the heat today, is was all well worth it.

Great shaves to all…
